Hello. To be categorized as a “disorder,” a person’s mood disorder must interfere directly and significantly with their work, relationships, social life, and/or daily activities. Since mood disorders have a tendency to wax and wane, allowing you to function well for awhile and then not function at all, it can be very difficult to successfully disability claim SSDI.
