I have a friend who gets disability. Her ONLY "disability" is that she gets so busy that her back hurts for a few days. She goes to the gym all the time, she goes on 10 mile bike rides, she goes to school full time, is in many support groups, and even earns a little extra money on the side writing textbooks.
I, on the other hand, have a severe mental illness that I have to take five different meds for, and my back is in much worse shape than hers; I can't even do less than half of the things she is able to do, yet I was denied because I go to AA and occasionally go to the library.
