My spouse lost his sight in 1961 due to a lawn mower accident and the eye was removed in 1966 because it started to disease and the doctors felt it may effect his other eye. He has never sought or collected any type of disability and draws his SS now, at a reduced rate, because he has a government pension. Is he eligible for any type of disability or reduced penalty on his SS because of his blindness on his right side? Thank you

If I worked all my life practically, to age 55, and worked with a disability, that they define, as one today, from a car accident when I was an infant, will I have a claim? My motor skills , coordination on one side of my body, noticably different, and today's world, called names, shunned, because this is noticed.

If my injury is old and I'm not on medication for it, but it's there, you can see it, can I get disability? Or does everyone have to be on medication?

Hi Sarah,
You may not need to be on medication but your condition must be severe enough to prevent you from working.
