Hi Yanira,
If your stature impacts your ability to work, you may still be able to receive disability benefits. Your height would not have an impact on the SSA's determination.

Best Wishes,
Eric

Hi Heather,
I'm sorry to hear about that! Many people are denied initially, however you may still want to apply.

My daughter is 4 feet 10 and recently been diagnosed with costochondritis and spinal stenosis. She is 37. Lost her job back in November because her employer felt it was more of a "hassle" feeling replacing her.
Do you think she would qualify for disability?

I am 29 and am vary small I'm truthfully probably about 4'3 or so (i say truthfully because I always lie and say I'm 4'10 because that's how tall I started out as). I know this may sound odd but I seem to be getting smaller, but I never go to the doctors. However as a child I do remember my mother asking me if i wanted to take these shots to help me grow. I said no, because what child wants to get extra shots? I must have been in elementary school still. I get vary tired easily and sleep 12 hours a day everyday. No matter how hard I try not too. I've tried my hardest to break myself from this. Thinking maybe it was because I needed to be more active. That I was becoming lazy, but no matter how hard I tried to pushed myself; to live life normally I can not. I am starting to have vary bad back problems. To the point I'm finally considering to go to the doctors after all these years. Because some days it just hurts so bad that I can work out in the garden or everyday normal things. Both my parents are small as well. My mother is 4'10 And father is I think maybe 5'2 both my brother and sister are as well are small. Although I do not look different I look as though my body just stopped growing at around age 11. Should I consider going to the doctors? Will they be able to tell me if I have any conditions?

I'M 4'9 &3quarters and I have many health problems. I receive benefits for mental illness and live paycheck to paycheck with nothing left to purchase other things that would actually help me with my health problems. Need advice. Thank you, Liberty
