I could not say, bank transfer times can vary by institution. It may be a good idea to keep any accounts where you receive benefits open until you confirm that the SSA is depositing benefits in the new account.

If you already are receiving benefits, you can create a my Social Security account and start or change Direct Deposit online. You also can sign up at your bank, credit union, or savings and loan. Or call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).

she may receive it on a reloadable card that would also be used for monthly benefits.
I had a direct deposit card I lost it so now I'm trying to have it transferred to my netspend
Disability check comes in at midnight for June 1.. my account is still in Pennsylvania, . I live in Texas now, will I receive it at 11:00 pm tonight. Since texas is an hour behind Pennsylvania?
