Hi Jackson,
I really could not say in your particular case, but SSI is income based, and so the SSA reduces benefits one dollar for every two that you earn. You also may have "in-kind support" counted against your benefits as well.
Hello! I'm currently on SSDI and I have been reading the posts on here and I'm a little confused. Can I earn income without it effecting my SSDI? If so, how much? TIA
So that statement you stated was that one could not go over $1170. Per month.. does what we get on SSDI count towards the $1170? Or is it seperate
Look forward to hearing back thank you
If I draw $818 a month disability now. And want to try and work part time 25 to 30 hours a week at $8 to $9 an hour , will that stop my disability check ?
Hi, i make under $840 a month and I am on SSD, but my employer wants to give me a 1099 as an independent contractor. Will the Social Security Administration accept this?
When working while on SSDI can you earn above the $1170 if you use this additional amount for an adaptive can so I can commute to work. I am a paraplegic older with shoulders that need therapy often.
Hi Mike,
Some expenses may not be counted against you for the purposes of determining your income level, however you may want to contact your local SSA office regarding this as they can give you detailed information specific to your case. You can find a listing of them here: http://www.disability-benefits-help.org/content/social-security-disabil…
If I work one day this month can I still collect disability without a problem . And the check is only about $300 and a one time deal can I still claim disability for the rest of the month how does disability react to that .
HI there,
I really could not say as the answer would vary by what disability benefits your son receives, however you may want to contact your local SSA office regarding this.
