i am on ssdi and I am paid $11.00/hr and work 20hrs wkly. I noticed there will be an extra pay period in march. this extra pay period in march will put me over my sgi for march. what do I do so this doesn't effect my benefits?
Hi Cheryl,
I would report this to the SSA--it'll likely trigger a trial work period but so long as you don't earn more than SGA more than nine times over the next five years, you'll be fine.
I get check for learing disabled for 703.00 and a ssi check for 53.00 if i wanted get job to work where i would only bring in 250.00 week could i do that with out my check being took
I work 25 to 28 hours a week and make less than the she amount can i still be eligible for disability benefits I have depression anxiety and degeneratuve joints.
I beening offer a job and the pay rate $12 to$14 a hour for 20 to 25 hors a week, I currently receive $791 from ssdi.will lose my check if i accept this parttime job
I’m on disability and it’s not enough to live off. If I babysit a child in my home for 18 hours a week and earn around $180 a week, will my benefits be reduced in any way?
My son was just approved for disability, he hasn’t received his confirmation letter yet. We had him get a part time job how many hours per week can he work without affecting his disability
How many hrs. Can I work and not affect my disability benefits

It's not actually hours worked, but income earned. You can earn up to $1,180 per month and still qualify for SSDI.
So the current amount i can work part time and still receive disability is 1,070 a month? As of 2018?

Hi Crystal,
As long as your monthly income doesn't exceed the 2018 SGA limit, you should be okay.

Hi Elizabeth,
Most likely no, so long as you're on SSDI and not SSI.
