I called social security office regarding my claim. I have already had x-rays taken twice and had my physical with the doctor. They said that a decision had been made but it was sent for further review. I’m so confused that this is even an option. Isn’t it that I’m approved or denied? I have birth defects that prevent me from working now that I’m older. I’m frustrated to say the least. Can you give any insight as to why or who it was sent to for approval and does that lean more towards a approval?
There are two parts to a disability claim. The first is medical, the second is the technical qualifications that have to do with work history. It could just be that they are reviewing the technical qualifications. A final decision should be made shortly.
I flied for reconsideration for my daughter's case back in October, today I was told a decision was made yesterday and information was forwarded to main (in my town) social security office. My home town ss office said that it isn't showing up yet and that I will be receiving a decision letter and/or additional information may be sent... can anyone tell me what this may mean?
When a decision is made, a letter is sent out stating the decision. If your approved, it should give you further instructions. If you were denied it will tell you why and how to appeal.
I applied for SS Disability in October 2019. They received all of my records, and I had to go see a Psychiatrist of their choosing on 2/11/20. I just received an update stating A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your benefit application. What does this mean please?
It means that they have made a decision on if you medically qualify for benefits. They are now likely deciding if you meet the technical criteria (have enough work credits or are under the income limits).
I recently got denied for ssdi not enough qualifing weeks. So I called the auto number only list the ssdi? So I checked the ssi online still shows pending steps 2 of 3 their going through the medical.
SSI and SSDI have the same medical requirements, but they do not have the same technical requirements. Unlike SSDI, SSI does not have a minimum number of work credits, but rather you must be under specific income limits. The SSA may still be checking to see if you are under those limits.
Disability Determination Decision Under Review. Your benefit application is currently under review for processing accuracy. Once the review is complete, we will continue processing your benefit application. What does this mean?
It means they are still determining if you are eligible for disability benefits. Once a decision is made, you should receive a letter in the mail stating the decision.
I called disabilty determination an they said a decision had been made on appeal an is atsocial security office in Lexington. Will they be able to tell me decision
You should receive a letter in the mail once a decision is made! You can also try calling your lawyer, if you worked with one, as they often find out before you.

Hi Tae,
Sometimes decisions are made without a hearing. You should receive a letter in the mail soon explaining what the decision was.
