It could have been that you were denied for one type of benefit and approved for the other. If that is not the case, I would contact the SSA to make sure you know which decision is correct. If you were denied, there is a time limit to appeal the decision.

It may be that they don't have permission to access your records. I would call the SSA to make sure there isn't anything they are missing from you.
