I'm a disabled US citizen living overseas, and I've been receiving SSDI benefits since 2012.
I use a Direct Express debit card to access my benefits, but recently my card was locked by Direct Express, and thus far I've been unable to resolve the issue with Direct Express's customer service staff. SSDI is the only source of money available to me, and not having my Direct Express card working has put me into an extremely dire situation, especially given the fact that I'm living in an underdeveloped country, due to the fact that I've been unable to obtain affordable housing in the US.
Typically I've spent two or three hours a day, on hold, for the past week
attempting to make contact with a Direct Express customer service representative. However, my calls are frequently dropped after I've already been on hold for several hours, and or, if I do manage to speak with someone, they are either extremely disinterested in helping me solve the problem with my debit card, or they tell me that my card has been fixed, when it really hasn't.
I urgently need to get my Direct Express debit card working again as soon as possible, and I was wondering if someone could offer me some advice in this area.
