Initial Application

I applied for disability for medical /mental issues. All medical and mental records turned in . Went to medical and mental evaluation then turn in my 15 years work history .
I suffer from DDD, Spondylosis, RA, OA, Spinal Stenosis, Scoliosis , Bone Spurs, Lupus , Depression , Anxiety , ADHD , Bipolar .
I now know they receive my work history and examiner said that she sent to vocational . Does anyone know where my claim may be in the process and if that is good ? I filed in July of this year .

Hi everyone , just thought I would share this unusual thing that just happened with my claim , I attended 2 CE exams a mental and a physical and had my attorney email them to me and both reports were strongly in my favor and I thought and approval was coming next , but instead I find out I'm being scheduled for a 3rd CE exam , this time for a 2nd opinion on the level of my disability, I guess they don't believe the CE report(s) from the first 2 exams and I suspect they are sending me to some jerk that is biased against disability claimants , I even googled the 2 doctors that exami

My friend has tried to log into the SSA.Gov page like 24 times in a year but couldn't get in.. He has called SSA 3 times but he hasn't gotten in. I found the 7 pg printable application. Has anyone else been very successful just getting it into their processing this way? He really needs SSI and has 3 seriously disabling conditions.

Can I cancel my application after 1 week of applying for ssdi in r.i ?? I don’t think I can wait years to get on,,,I have bills

I've submitted my application online and the site says it's in "Step 2 - Disability Application pending". Should I still go by an office a and check in? Also - roughly how long is this part of the process? Thank you!

Hi again - When I submitted my initial application, it mentioned requesting the medical documentation to supply. My doctors had said that Social Security would contact them for all the information. Do I need to collect all this for them? I realize it would be good for me to have - but is it necessary?

I got approved for SSI and SSDI. SSI was updated on the website and says approved with the amount. SSDI still says processing but my caseworker said approved it. So, I am wondering why my portal is still marked under review.

I previously applied for social security disability and I appointed a representation using form SSA-1696. I later withdrew my application. If I apply now for a different period of time and condition, will that previous representation carry over to my current application? In other words, will the company which represented me previously still be my representative in social security system and therefore will be able to get information about my current application? If so, how can I relinquish that representation for my current application?
