About two years ago my son, who was 19 at the time, was heading to basic training. Shortly before he was to leave he had injured his back. The day of his departure his back was hurting so bad the doctors at the MEP station had him do an MRI and it showed two bulging disks in his back. He was immediately discharged.
Since that time he has been going to see a Dr. about the continual back pain. The Dr had prescribed 3 or 4 different medication to relax the muscles and control the pain.
In my late twenties, I was hit by a car as as pedestrian which left me with several injuries, however due to my education I was denied because of the fact that the evaluators said I could perform a similar job in my field. It has been difficult over the years and I have not been able to keep the same employer for very long each time due to several issues. I have suffered from addiction to pain medication because I was forced to work. I am now 41 and my conditions have worsened immensely.
I'm beginning the process of applying for SSDI after finally realizing, after many years, that I just can't work. Does anyone know the difficulty of being approved with this type of problem? I can have severe Vertigo attacks, as well as almost constant dizziness in general. This has been going on for years and had to stop computer work I was even doing from home. I am over 50.
I have been diagnosed with ciatica Dec. 8, 2012. I recaive epidural shots of steriods as needed when pain becomes frequent and unbearable. I am also borderling dialisys bound but working on not getting to that point. I have been tired and lacking energy. I have noticed making mistakes at work and being forgetful. I can not sit still without pain and trouble walking certain distances and standing.
Good afternoon everyone,
I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis over 15 years ago. Though it effects my ability to breath at times, it's most devastating effect is my loss of ability to move from the waist down due to tumors and lesions within my spinal cord and head. I've lost about 90% mobility to my left leg and about 75% mobility to my right. They seize and lock up, making it feel as though I'm being electrocuted.
I have been recently been diagnosed with cardiac and pulmonary failure, but also have been under treatment for Bipolar II and PTSD the last two years. I will be applying for SSDI for medical disability, but do I need to also include my mental diagnosis?
I have had Obstructive Defecation Disorder since 2009. (this is the opposite of incontinence) 3 surgeries to correct, physical therapy and psychiatric therapy (PTSD is diagnosis-side effect of managing this chronic medical problem). I do not see this or any other condition listed. Is there another name for it I should look for?
I suffer from anal incontinence caused by repeated tears to both external and internal anal sphincters during the deliveries of three of my children, and because it was not properly repaired the second time, which wasn't discovered until three years later. I have been to a colon & rectal surgeon & had specialized tests done (anorectal ultrasound, anal manometry, and electromyography). He said the risks of the surgery outweighed the probable benefits due to the type of surgery and the amount of scar tissue involved.
I was born with one eye and I work.I was wondering if there is some kind of supplemental social security to aid my low income. I am now 31 y/o
