I am looking forward to changing my payee next Monday. I was wondering if I do that will my upcoming check still go to my original payee on the 1st?

Hi Nicholas,
Generally the payee is changed for your next pay period. If possible, try to bring your current payee to the appointment. This will help the process go smoothly.

Question if I’m a payee for my kids ssi (they get it though their dad) can be change it without a court order
In reply to Question if I’m a payee for by Ashley (not verified)
Hi Ashley,
You are able to change the payee with an appointment at your local SSA office. A court order is not mandatory and the process is easiest if all parties are in agreement and present at the meeting. For more information, I would give them a call.
