Does anybody know whether that SSI back pay comes on a certain day of the month? I got my first installment the same week I was approved for SSI it came on the same day I got my first benefit. But I should receive one in January and I'm trying to figure out when I will see it? If anyone has any experience with receiving them in would love to hear about it!

Back pay does come in installments. The first being 4 months after you are approved and then every 6 months following that.

It often comes about 4 months after you begin receiving disability benefits.
My son got his first back pay june 10th the letter said he would receive his second payment in six months. I called and spoke with a representative that said i should get my payment in December. My question is will i receive it on the same day as his monthly payment which is going to be early with month because the 1st is a weekend. Or will the deposit be made near when i got the first check which was 06-10-19

I just received the first installment of a big backpay settlement. However it just wasnt enough to get me through the holidays with bills and Christmas. What can i do to get a little more just to get through the end of the year?

You can try contacting the SSA to see if you can get your back pay expedited.

It usually takes 4 months for backpay and then it is paid in 6 month installments following that.

I need to know how to find out the exact date I will receive my final back pay payment
I have a payee and she is being really difficult ever since we broke up and she insists on trying to make me pay for stuff that she buys me
Also I really need to know what I should do about my issues here

Hi Rudy,
You should call the SSA directly to learn when your next back payment is. When you want to change your rep payee, go to your Social Security Administration field office and request a change of payee. You will be given a form to fill out, and guidance will be provided if necessary.

My son suppose to get a check for 709 on the 1st which is today and one Jan 31 for 523 which one will be his amount every month and how will the back pay work

Back pay is given to you typically about 4 months after it is awarded and then in 6 month installments after that.
Based on the following schedule, it looks like a monthly SSI payment will be on January 31st.
