I applied for ssdi in the past and was denied. I am reapplied a few weeks ago as my conditions have worsened in terms of the impact it has on my daily living. My application has ‘cleared’ from the field office and is now with the determination board in my state. The last time I applied, I received paperwork very quickly from the Determination Board. They wanted to know about my daily function and sent that and some other forms. I was also given the name of my contact there and told to submit any details on new appts, medicines or hospitalizations. I have not received any paperwork or even a letter from the person assigne dto my case there. Is this unusual? I am not sure what to make of this. I am not even sure what to do about new information. I have had an ER visit and hospitalization since I first applied.
Hi there,
I would contact the SSA about this with your updated medical records. In addition, to maximize your chances of winning your case, you may want to speak with a disability advocate or lawyer. If you fill out the form on the left of this page, we can have one reach out to you.

Hi Edith,
We are not affiliated with the SSA and as such we would not know where your application is.
who can you go to if SSA is not following a policy?

Hi Deborah,
I would make sure to gather as much evidence I can of that and speak with either a Social Security advocate or attorney.
