How common is it to get a letter from the alj saying they will contact you for a hearing but over a year later you are still waiting?

Unfortunately, it is common, the average wait time to see an ALJ is about 17 months.
Hello this is Steve I am to waiting for my disability hearing filled after 2 denied have very good chance of winning but the wait is crazy they need to change this system there are people cant wait 17 months

Hi Steve,
if you haven't already, you may want to get in touch with a disability advocate or attorney, they can help fight for you in court, and in case you appeal is denied, they may be able to help you appeal the ALJ's decision. You can get in touch with one by filling out this form here:
