I have been out of work since 2015. I have osteoarthritis in my right knee and also had a schwannoma tumor removed from same knee. I was working in retail and I don't qualify for sit-down office jobs and cant go back to my old career. However now I do not meet the income guidelines. Is there a way I can still get on SSI?
Hi there,
You may want to speak with a disability advocate or attorney about your case, they can help you through the application process and fight for you on appeal if needed. You can get in touch with one by filling out this form:

Hi There,
The Social Security Administration (SSA) on longer has a disability listing for sleep apnea, but it does have listings for breathing disorders, heart problems, and mental deficits. However, you could qualify with osteoarthritis, you can take our Free Disability Evaluation to find out:https://www.disability-benefits-help.org/form/free-disability-evaluation

Hi There,
It's definitely possible, but not a guarantee. Best of luck.
