If an adult child, who is temporarily not working, had to move back in with his parents after he applied for disability, does that make him INELIGIBLE for SSD?
Does he have to show that he lives independently?

Hi there,
Disability applicants do not need to demonstrate that they live independently to be eligible for benefits, however if lodging for the child is given freely, the SSA may consider that as "in-kind support" and it would affect benefits amount or eligibility.
