I need advice as I have finally been approved for ssdi reinstatement on my exr request. I'm appaled it has taken 9 months, no provisional payments, and the local office is horrendous. I finally got congress involved within 1 day things started moving. However, today I have found that they applied all my backpay 8k to an alleged overpayment of which I have been fighting for 9 years and it's finally pending. Ince, they read the file they will find there is no overpayment and have to pay back all payments made at 25/ month. This is frustrating, can they apply my backpay to that? I have done EXR before it was quicker and they did not do that. Any advice is appreciated!
Thank you,
MJT
Hi there,
They may be able to do so at their discretion, it may be a good idea to contact your local SSA office regarding this. You can find a listing of them here:
