I am an adult disabled child and have been on disability for 4 years now. I was engaged but found out I would lose all my benefits if I married. My fiance and I chose to have a commitment ceremony instead of losing my income and insurance. He could not afford to support us on his income alone. Now we are discussing trying to have children. Am I allowed to have a child and still qualify for my social security benefits? I am aware with my condition it would be a high risk pregnancy but we still would like to try.
I could not find a forum with questions about a person that is on disability and this was the only one that was close. I was on disability from August 2010 till March 2016. When I contacted SSDI and told them I had found a job and was going to try to return to full-time work. I was told that I had a 9 month Ticket to Work. The operator told me I could make as much money as possible while receiving my full income at my new job for that 9 month period. I didn't believe that I would get paid the full amount while I was working.
If i am currently on SSDI and Medicare due to disability. However, i will turn 65 soon and i am being told that my SS income and/or Medicare benefits may change when i turn 65. Is that true and if yes, will SS automatically change the amount of my check or do i need to contact them?
Do in need to notify Medicare that i will be 65 soon?
When a person has suffered a severe stroke and is not capable of talking or walking and confined to a care facility, how are their finances managed for them especially if they have no family within the USA?
