Getting married

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I've gotten married before and lost my SSI. When we divorced 8 years ago I reapplied and started receiving it again which I really need since I have 4 diseases and my medications alone are around $350,000 a year. I have met someone very special and would love to marry her, but I don't want to chance losing my SSI. I was wondering if we had a wedding, but didn't file for a marriage license if that would effect anything?

Can they take my taxes for my son's overpayment?

I'm a rep for my son who is disabled. He currently does not receive SSI but has in the past. He now has an overpayment. I'm fine with making payment arrangements but didn't think about this when I filed my tax return. I haven't heard anything yet but just looking for answers if anyone has any experience.

Am I being terminate from receiving benefits?

I have been on SSI since a child. I have cerebral palsy. I'm able to walk and stand but not for long periods of times without severe pain and fatigue. I do not have full range of motion on my right side. From December to April I worked as a customer service representative. Grossing 4100 the project end it as well as my right hand could no longer take it. Unfortunately I have a PAyee since I've been with SSI from childhood. She was under the assumption that because I didn't make much I didn't have to report it.
