Applied for Disability in one state, moving to another state (with my mom)

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I have applied for disability in FL and was denied but have filed an appeal (I have heard that FL denies almost every applicant their first try...) I have moved to HI with my mom (because she was offered a much better job there and she completely supports me because I am unable to work). It seems that I must start the process again. I have all of my medical records from FL and have made appts to begin to see physicians, etc in HI. I have 2 medical problems. The first is a herniated disc and the 2nd is a systemic condition, but the MDs have not figured out the diagnosis yet.

Disability benefits and assists (mortgage)

My uncle has a few rental properties, and can no longer work. He will be getting disability benefits, but form what he explained was that he needs to liquidate some assests primarily his properties. I will be taking over payments on one of his homes and the deed/title will be in my name, but the mortgage will stay in his name I will just continue to make the payments. Will this affect his disability application or benefits at all?

Do I Qualify?

My name is Kevin, and I am 19 years old. I've suffered from personality disorders for as long as I can remember. They've effected me so severely, I was not able to complete high school. I've also suffered from depression as a result of my family being broken apart at a young age. My family never had the money or time to bring me to a doctor, and I have no medical ducomentation proving that I have depression, other than a couple anti depressant prescriptions I've received over the years, all of which did nothing to help, considering I have no income to continue taking the medication.
