Essential Tremor-Do I Qualify?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I would like to know if, having Essential Tremor, would now qualify me for SSD? I am almost 50, recently unemployed, and it's not getting better. I have had tremors my whole life, but never "officially" diagnosed, due to lack of $/insurance to see a Neurologist. However, I am certain this is exactly the name for this health issue! My tremors have gotten worse as I've gotten older. Some days it is virtually impossible to do anything manually, nor hold anything safely. Please let me know if I have a chance at applying/gaining SSD? Thank you.- Leslie K., NY

Do I Qualify Multiple Issues

I have had Chronic Migraines for over 25 years, I am bi-polar and recently again clinically depressed due to pain issues from my de-generative disc disease w/arthritis in it. I have in particularly bad in my neck where disc are starting to slip. I have had a recent fall and haven't got the tests back. I also have fibermyalga.(not sure of spelling) I tried to work full time but the pain was so great I had to give up the job. Currently I work for self about 2-3 hours a day in self employment because that is all I can do. I believe I have a really good case so do I stop working?

Multiple aneurysms, etc

I had open surgery for 7.5 cm aortic aneurysm 3/2010. Hernia surgery 7/2010. Lost one kidney due occlusion of stent/artery leading to kidney. I have an additional 4.5 cm aneurysm closer to the heart. Doctor says repaired portion is 4.2 cm aneurysm (confusing to me since I originally thought surgery eliminated that). Also have an additional unrepaired hernia. I am 3 months shy of 60th birthday. I work a sedentary but stressful job. I am completely exhausted at the end of each day. Have pain occasionally, but not constantly from hernia.

Heart conditions,and COPD

I'm a 61 year old male and have had two heart valve replacements and a aorta repair due to an aneurysm over the last 20 years. I was also diagnosed with COPD, and sleep apnea in 2010 at the time of my last heart surgery, and in 2014 with Afib. My work place is a very toxic environment because materials and chemicals being used that has caused my breathing condition to worsen. I have had to quit my job because of these reasons. The skill that I have is not really transferable to other occupations nor do I have the stamina to do other work.
