I have applied for SS in years past. I've been denied. I'm reopening my case as new symptoms and disability of my RA has increased and I have now stage 4 magesteized Breast Cancer in my Spine, Hips, and Front and Back Ribs, of my autonomy. I just recently have had 2 Tumors removed from my Brain, and am in healing process. As of 09/05/2014. I currently have finished 14 treatments of Radiation Therapy, which will conclude with Chemo therapy.

I am a 53 yr old female who has been with her partner for over 14yrs. In Feb of 09, my partner was diagnosed with Stage IV Colo/rectal cancer, with metastisis to lungs and lymph nodes and liver. She has been on chemo since diagnosis, and has had several trips to hospital due to immune system problems, etc. I had been working at my job for over 12 years, and then in July of this yr, was laid off. Lost all my benefits, and had to cash out my small 401K to pay some bills off for the both of us, as more are expected in every day due to hospital stays, scans, etc.
My mother is 83 years old, has Cancer an is on Hospice. Is help available to help obtain care while my brothers and sisters are working? We cannot be there 24 hours a day but she can't afford to pay for care. Please adivse

To apply for disability benefits, do I have to go to my local Social Security office or can I apply online? Is one way better than another?
