Hearing Stage

Denied after Hearing - Re-Apply?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I worked with an attorney, but was still denied all the way through and including my hearing. The judge's decision included a reference that she felt I wasn't as bad off as anyone thought with a subtle insinuation that someone was lying. The judge threw out several doctors including those appointed by SS to evaluate me.

I've laid low on re-applying for a while because I'm afraid there will be prejudice against a new case for me based on this judge's ruling. Is such a thing true?

It's complicated

I am in the hearing stage for disability. Filing on spouses record, as I have not been able to work 5 of last 10 years. Judge wants to qualify me on mental aspects only. Pretty sure I have Parkinson's. Did I screw up insisting physical disability in addition to mental? I have to go back. Don't trust attys with good reason. Scared. Also have PTSD.

Bad review, and new evidence outcome?

The judge asked that there be another review, just in case since the last one was done almost a year ago. I am bipolar type II rapid cycling, ptsd, bed, and last but not least gad.

I received a letter stating that he had gotten the new review and that if no new evidence that submitted that he would make his decision in 10 days. I called my lawyer and asked about the new review because I had a odd feeling about it, I was right she said that " I was good to go " all of this after a 12-15min meeting, nothing like my last eval.

I have been suffering from cronic pain for several years. I have worked since I was 15 years old and would like nothing better but to keep working but, my pain and swelling in my hands feet and legs and the ability to get any kind of relief disables me from working, please reconsider my application and if you would approve my disability I appreciate your time.
