Hearing Stage

Reapplying after Denial

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Okay, so I was an idiot. After my denial, I kind of curled up into a depressed ball hoping to disappear. It didn't help that almost none of my family believes me or that I have two diseases that leave me looking relatively healthy (psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia). I listened to my lawyer when he said I should focus on my care (with no money - ha) and reapply later. I just read the judgment today and found that it is rife with inaccuracies of fact. From why I'm not working to things I did or didn't report to doctors.

Disability Hearing

I had my disability hearing with a judge in May. It didn't last longer than 20 minutes and the Judge only asked the VE one question which was What level was the job that I did on? Is that a good that he only asked that OR bad? I have bipolar disorder, depression, a form of spina bifida, arthritis in back and knees, vertebrae falling in back of another.

Help

I got a letter yesterday from my attorney telling me of my hearing date. He also stated that the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review has requested a copy of all my pharmacy records one year prior to the alleged onset date to present. What would that be for at this stage of the game? Could I still get approved prior to the hearing date? Thanks

I won my case

I received notification on the 22nd, that i had won my Adjudication and Review. The Decision was "Fully Favorable".

How long now is the "average" wait period for payments to begin? Any help on this will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

I became disabled in October of 2010 and applied for SSDI. I have been treated by my doctor every week since then and have retained an attorney for my SSDI process.

I have been paying in to the Social Security system for 38 years and am 55 years old. I had been at my last job for 20 years until I had to retire in June 2012 due to my disability.

i was on probation for a misdemeanor, I paid while on probation ,unknown to me, there still is a balnce owed, lein if not paid

My probation officer never told me i would still have to pay after i got off probation, now after 6 months they sent me a letter saying I owe 2000 dollars due to interest it was only 650. Will I be denied at my socila hearing that Ive been waiting for , for 5 years, because of this outstanding bill that could damper any assets I accumulate inb the future due to a probable pein they "say" they "could" put on me? I heard this one teenage boy got a misdemeanor for a possesion of marijuana charge and he never paid it and when he applied for social they denied him because he owed the courts.
