Friend of mine tells me she won her battle to get disability and they will backdate her payments to July of 2014. She wants to know if she will be eligible for Medicare.She is 62 and tells me that you have to have received disability for 24 months. Since her claim will be paid from July of 2014 will she immediately be eligible for Medicare ?
My obligations towards past due Child Support have been garnished from my SSDI for several years. It is about to be paid off in full soon and Im wondering if my SSDI payments will increase after that happens? If so, do I have to inquire or request that my benefits be adjusted?
Im expected to get $3440 SSDI including my wife and 3 kids. My wife and I are permanently deaf (since birth). I wondered if my wife and I can work and earn less than $1100/mo together?

If you can't go back to regular job after(inguinal) hernia surgery can you qualify for SSD.Job requires a lot of repetitive lifting with bending and lifting.My age is 61

I recently lost my benefits because I earned more than the allowed maximum. Is there an appeal process whereby I can be reinstated ?
In a 5 month span, I earned , in aggregate, +/- $3,900 over the allowed max.

I was finally approved at the district court level in Feb. 2016. When will I receive anything regarding my money; a letter, etc... Only heard from the judge not from Social SEcurity yet. My lawyer said they don't know. Does anyone have any idea or information to help me have some idea as to when to expect anything????
At my hearing the occupation specialists said I could be an usher dose that mean the judge will rule against me? I had 2 strokes, mitral valve surgery but do to work its dammaged to the point of almost replacement, 2 herniated discs with degenerative disc disease, severe arthritis in both hips, both knees one needs to be replaced ,severe arthritis in right ankle plantar fasciitis In both feet , I also have severe palpitations and arrhythmias! I hired my own occupational specialist who said I can't work!
