I recieved my award letter letting me know. $558.00 will go to child support and I will get $300.00 a month to live on. I also was awarded back pay from March 2014. But was told July 2014 would be the back pay date.
I have been on SSDI for over 6 years with over 4 years back pay as well. My question is my mother's assets were over the Medicaid eligibility level to receive care through an ACLF therefore The Elder Care Co. that was hired had us do a Personal Service Contract. The lump sum is approx. $27K with the monthly rate @$800, will this effect my disability? Can I take the money, seeing it is paid in advance and in a lump sum in consideration for it not being adequate to pay for the probable years of care needed, to purchase a house, car?
Doe's that money go back to my monthly payment(check)? That is my money and it doesn't go back to SSDI ? And if the child drops out of school and is not attending any other school, tech., etc. Do I still pay the child support even if there on there own? My EX thinks it's SSDI money and I don't get it back to my monthly check...

I had knee surgery last year and received SSDI benefits for a year. I started working again, but my knee got hurt again. Can I get SSDI benefits even though, my base period payments were from SSDI?
Wife wants a divorce my income from ssdi is three times the amount of hers. Will her benefits go up if we divorce or stay the same. We are on or own work record. She could never survive on the income she gets from ssdi.
My brother is applying for SSDI and he is separated from his wife but they have not gotten a divorce yet. Will his benefits be higher if he gets a divorce before applying for SSDI?
