Does anybody know whether that SSI back pay comes on a certain day of the month? I got my first installment the same week I was approved for SSI it came on the same day I got my first benefit. But I should receive one in January and I'm trying to figure out when I will see it? If anyone has any experience with receiving them in would love to hear about it!

Back pay typically comes 6 months apart.
I got my first retroactive on March 9th, 6 months later, would that be August or September? I’m not sure if they count March since I got it in the beginning of the month

Back pay is received in 6 month intervals. It might not be the same exact day, but you can expect to receive the second payment shortly. If you do not receive the payment within the next week or two, I would recommend calling your local SSA office.

The second installment of back pay is generally given 6 months after the first installment.
I am my son's payee and last December he received a letter stating that he would be getting back payments until he all he was owes paid, it was several thousand dollars, he hasn't received anything since Dec and we were wondering when they would start backbup.

They typically come 6 months apart. You can call the SSA to see if there is a reason he has not received his next installment.
